Our Plethora of Mediums

As you probably already know, the spotlight of this film belongs to an adorable little robot named Three-Quarters whose curiosity seems to get the best of him more often than not...
In order to create the pleasant little creature that he is, a wide array of materials are being brought together and formed into the one machine that is his making.  For starters, the first step in the building of Three-Quarters was to find abandoned tools or gadgets that could be used or imagined to be a part of our character.  Once materials had been collected, found, or invented, the "search team" handed off their parts and pieces to our 3D and Digital FX Team who then took Three-Quarters to a whole new level.  Our talented 3D team began modeling Three-Quarters in Maya by making piece by piece what the search team had brought them. Furthermore, the combining of those materials have led to the assortment of the very charming Three-Quarters.

When all is said and done with pre-production, the facets of animation in terms of software, machines, and materials that we will have utilized include photoshop, illustrator, after effects, toon boom, maya, a 3D printer, dragon frame, a slide cam, acrylic paints, plaster, and a large large large amount of foam core... Oh, but that is just the tip of the iceberg on the list of the plethora of mediums we have put into use.
Just wait until it is time for us to tell about the puppet making process that has led to the emersion of gorgeous puppets from molds and clay sculpts.  Stay tuned :) There is MUCH more coming soon!!
